What ho, Jeeves!

The first of our new studio recordings is now out!  An arrangement made specially for Saxofonie of Anne Dudley’s evocative and catchy jazz-era theme for ITV’s classic series “Jeeves and Wooster”.  If this doesn’t cheer up a dark December evening, nothing will!

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

And what better way to celebrate than a bit of festive busking? If the weather forecast remains on track, we’ll be on the streets of central York this coming Sunday 19 December from about 1 pm for a couple of hours of favourite Yuletide tunes and carols. To get you in the mood, how about a reminder of this gem from last year’s festive video highlights?

A total TV classic, this is the Peter Gunn theme by the superb Henry Mancini, arranged for sax quartet. Enjoy!

Keep on playing!

Social distancing restrictions mean that we can’t rehearse together yet, but we’re still playing! You can now watch the latest in our #QuarantineSessions video playlist on our YouTube channel – a lovely little arrangement of the Londonderry Air, with a big-band twist at the end. Enjoy!
